Bunch of Munsch is an educational brochure created for elementary school kids, aimed to introduce young readers to one of their favourite classroom bookshelf authors. The brochure, designed with an interesting and colourful layout, delves into Munsch's background, writing style, and best-selling books, making it simple for children to learn about his storytelling techniques and inspiration. The brochure encourages kids to understand and interact with Munsch's stories by emphasizing the engaging literary elements that make his books so memorable, such as repetition, expressive print, and silly endings
Challenge
One major challenge was balancing information with a pleasant, engaging design that would appeal to children. With so many facts to add about Robert Munsch's life and writing style, there was a risk that the brochure might be excessively text-heavy or visually busy, which could turn away young readers.
Solution
To solve this, I drew inspiration from Munsch's books, implementing bright colours, lively fonts, and an abundance of images to keep it visually interesting. I divided the content into simple, digestible pieces and matched it with dynamic pictures to maintain a lively, energetic tone while keeping the material understandable and interesting.
